| A Little About Us |
My passion for women's history and love of this city
created Herstory Asheville; a women's history tour in
a town that seems to attract and produce strong,
independent females. "Herstory" was missing from
the classrooms in which I learned, and now I believe
it is crucial for the other side of the story to be told.
I also lead ghost tours through The Grove House, a
very haunted building downtown. For more

I love downtown Asheville and there are so many
stories to tell about the women of the city! You'll
hear about the woman who is responsible for private
voting booths and secret ballots (they actually
thought she was crazy to suggest these things!). I'll
tell you about the female doctor who had surgeries
performed in a room off of her kitchen while raising
funds for the city's first hospital for African
Americans.
I look forward to telling these stories and more on
the next tour.
